Hey guys, popped into training today after work, thought id describe what i saw.
Main group came out around 2:30, Pev, Lovett, McVeigh came out 10 mins later.
A group of the side of the main group included Lucas, Fletcher, McPhee, Hocking, Dick, Daniher. These guys did not participate with the main group at all, just handballed then went inside. Lucas was kicking a bit on the wing, did a few twist a turns, looks good.
Hocking walked laps, then jogged at the end for a bit.
McVeigh was doing sprints on the other wing for the WHOLE session, 100m sprint, then walked back, looked at full pace.

Quite frankly there are few things that are really starting to piss me off with this forum and supporters. These are the things they whine, sook and complain about..
1. Game Plan (eg: “Can’t play that game plan with that cattle”, “He doesn’t have a B, C or D game plan”, blah blah blah)
2. Stanton/Watson/Hille (eg: “Can’t kick, can’t run, can’t tackle, blah blah blah…sounds like another Snipes/Harrelson movie)
3. If Sheeds ( F**** Sheeds)
4. Trade
5. Who’s Our Next Hird (Thomas, stop comparing others or trying to find something, he’s gone get on with life)
6. Our Best 5 or Best Spine (How about we get some players who play their guts out, I don’t care who they are)

If injuries were not bad enough, Essendon’s stuttering 2008 AFL season has suffered another setback with Adam McPhee and Nathan Lovett-Murray both hit with suspensions by the AFL Match Review Panel on Monday afternoon.
McPhee was charged with making forceful front-on contact to Port Adelaide youngster Travis Boak while Lovett-Murray was charged with striking Power forward Daniel Motlop.
Nathan Lovett-Murray, Essendon, has been charged with a Level Two striking offence against Daniel Motlop, Port Adelaide, during the second quarter of the Round Seven match between Essendon and Port Adelaide, played at Telstra Dome on Sunday May 4, 2008.
In summary, his previous poor record means that his one-match sanction cannot be reduced with an early plea.
The incident was assessed as intentional conduct (three points), low impact (one point) and body contact (one point). This is a total of five activation points, resulting in a classification of a Level Two offence, drawing 125 demerit points and a one-match sanction. He has an existing bad record of three matches suspended within the last three years, increasing the penalty by 30 per cent and 37.50 points to 162.50 demerit points. An early plea reduces the penalty by 25 per cent to 121.88 points and a one-match sanction.

Essendon have been fined $5,000 by the AFL after captain Matthew Lloyd approached the umpires at the quarter-time break of Sunday’s AFL Round 7 clash with Port Adelaide.
Essendon players and their coach Matthew Knights were unhappy with the umpires’ interpretation of the holding the ball rule.
Under AFL Regulation 16.3, players are not permitted to approach the umpires at any quarter break, or when the umpires are entering or leaving the ground.
The fine was imposed by AFL football operations manager Adrian Anderson.

Essendon were handed their second successive thumping, this time at the hands of Port Adelaide, who condemned the Bombers to their fourth successive loss with a 64 point victory at the Phone Dome in AFL Round 7 on Sunday evening.
Port Adelaide kicked six of the first seven goals in the opening term and the match was as good as over from that point, even as the Bombers scored 15 goals for the game, with a five goal haul to skipper Matthew Lloyd, but as has been the case during the 2008 AFL Season, the Bombers defence bled goals, giving up 24 goals for the game as Port Adelaide forward Daniel Motlop had a career best seven goal game.

Last time I wrote a match preview for B-Blitz, Bomber fans were on a high. An impressive Round 1 victory over recent bogey side North Melbourne, kicking 19 goals with 11 players scoring majors, conceding just 9 in the process, and a near full-strength side to choose from.
Oh, how things have turned. And quickly!!
In the space of 5 weeks, we have been beaten 4 times by an average losing margin of over 10 goals, have leaked scores that teams in the IPL would be happy with after their 20 overs, (even in our only win during this period, against Carlton in Round 3, 23 goals were scored by the Blues), conceded the 2nd most amount of inside 50s in the AFL (only woeful Melbourne have allowed their opponent greater entries into their back 50) and there are more players in the medical room than out on the Windy Hill training track. Somehow, Matthew Knights and the Essendon match committee have to find 22 fit and able players for Sunday’s twilight match-up against a Port Adelaide side that is just starting to hit its straps.
