No.32 has come back to Syyydddneeeyyy!!! Yes the Corporate Whore is on the road again, holed up the wonderful “Sheraton On The Park” in beautiful Sydney
So we have had some time to digest last weeks loss and also some time to digest the crap we have dished up on this forum regarding some players, either warranted or unwarranted… still rubbish.
So we face off against the Dawks from Whorethorn in a must win game to get the momentum back on track especially with the run we have up till round 10, as from around that time we have a hard 4-5 game stretch against some possible in form teams of the competition. We have made some changes, 1 expected, 1 not expected and we have kept 1 in the side who is not wanted.
Key Match Ups
Mark McVeigh vs Brad Sewell – ?? What the you may ask? This matchup may sound weird, but I actually think that Clarkson will put Sewell on McVeigh. McVeigh has been one of the common threads with our wins and also when we have lost he is also one of the reasons we haven’t been blown out of the water. He provides a lot of drive across out half back line and through the middle and can push forward to kick goals… Clarkson will look to snuff out McVeigh, and also aggravate as in the past he can give away silly frees. Sewell is the man.
Dustin Fletcher vs Lance Franklin – Buddy Love, known to switch off during games and doesn’t always work the hardest.. could Fletcher exploit this and create run and drive off those contests? The one thing Fletcher will be careful of is the Buddy Franklin is not just any ordinary Forward, he can really really hurt you if you allow him enough rope…
Damien Peverill vs Sam Mitchell – Sex Machine vs The Extractor… this is a great matchup as Pev runs like 1 legged tripod and Mitchell has less pace than a decomposing elephant in the Muhabi Desert. The key is Pev’s ability to sit off Mitchell and either interrupt his run to the ball or intercept his clearances from the stoppages
The X Factor
Courtney Johns, why because maybe Sheedy will wake up in the wrong side of the bed and leave him one out in the forward 30 with Davey and M. Johnson in the pockets crumbing. Lloyd and Lucas will be outside the 50m arc and only allowed to kick them from outside there. Why because Lloyd and Lucas will take Hawthorn’s best 2 defenders and away from goal also… Johns will get the next best and one which could be undersized…..
The Y Factor
Hawthorn’s insistence on drawing lines in the sand? Look for early on Brown and Guerra to rough up Davey, slamming him into the ground with over zealous tackles…. and the other Y Factor is Mark Bolton… Nuff Said
Apologies for this preview being a little short and sweet as I still have a couple presentations to finish off, call the wife and finish off my forecast for FY08
