This week the two team play off for the Essendon Coaching Position… well according to all media they are hinging this result on the outcome of will or won’t Sheedy get re-appointed and if Daniher will get the job!!!
But the real issue at hand is the mid season break, how can it effect the team, what impact will it have with the momentum sides go into or don’t have when they go into the break. I think it does have an impact…
Its right at the end of the Financial Year. and in my line of work people bust my chops in a big way even when they know I can’t pull a rabbit out of the hat…so my focus is elsewhere…..
This preview is very late because I haven’t done one for a few weeks, so I forgot to write it last night, so I really haven’t thought about the game..
I really don’t know what to talk about except from the Sheedy vs Daniher because really when it comes down to…
THIS IS MY TAKE
If Melbourne get up and win and in a spirited way the club (Gardner & Co) should have more cause for concern… why? Because if it takes events of this week to fire the side up, which it seems to be a common thread even from Daniher’s early days then their is a massive cultural issue at the club.
I have even had word from fellow EFC supporter who knows a couple of the Vet’s at Melbourne (can not reveal source, too sensitive), and they really have a Hoo Hum attitude down at Melbourne…. there is no PASSION, DESIRE & FIRE in their belly’s…..
So maybe when Mike Sheehan, Walls and Co say “Neale Daniher has got the MOST out of this list”… well then I sit up and think… well maybe he has. Just think about guys like White, Johnstone, Yze, Bruce and Green…. do any of them ignite fore and passion in their play?? NO… do they go missing often…YES, take a look at Green after Wall’s ripped him and the club in the paper a couple weeks ago… he had 30+ possies, they played great, … what’s he and they done since… NOTHIN….
NOW, I see why Neale Daniher has been put up as a possible EFC coach post Sheedy… Neale will land himself another job at another club for sure…..
Now for Sheed’s…. he cannot afford to lose games we should win, which has been the trend for the whole of 2007. He needs the fire and aggression from the players…. they need to come and play and especially from guys like Laycock and Ryder because without the Man Mountain we could struggle…
Look for Ryder to go 1 on 1 with White in the ruck and around the ground.
White is a loafer, gets cheap possies and doesn’t man up… I hope Sheed’s exploits that and allows Ryder to run with him all day because Paddy if White goes forward or back Ryder will be more than comfortable…..
The X Factor of this game will be NEEEIIITTZZZZZZZZZ
Big Mal and Fletcher will be used in tandem because the BIG MAN with an even BIGGER heart love Neale and will once again put it all on the line for his coach…. the only man at that club that can truly say he leaves it all out on the field and plays for his coach…
It will be a cracking game….. let he coaching carousel begin!!!!
