Peverill Breaks His Jaw

Essendon’s injury list has grown once again, with reports that God Gift to Women Damien Peverill suffered a broken jaw while playing for Bendigo in the VFL on Saturday afternoon.

If confirmed, Peverill is likely to be sidelined for 6-8 weeks.

Peverill will join speedster Alwyn Davey on the sidelines, who is expected to receive confirmation on Monday that his 2008 season is over following a knee injury suffered at training on Thursday morning, while defender Dustin Fletcher is expected to miss Sunday twilight’s AFL Round 7 clash against Port Adelaide at the Phone Dome with a groin injury sustained on ANZAC Day against Collingwood.
